Who are we?

Walden Ringette Association is a volunteer organization dedicated to the promotion of the sport of Ringette in the Walden area.

We are always looking for volunteers to help in the many different facets of the association.  Whether you choose to work on the Executive, come out to help with fundraising activities or help out at the games doing shot clock or refereeing, your support is appreciated.

Ringette is a fast–paced game played by young and older alike.  Our divisions begin with Bunnies who are under 8 years of age and go up to the Open Division for those over the age 19.  All skill levels are welcome and our dedicated coaches and bench staff will help to take you to the level of skill you are hoping to achieve.

Walden Ringette Association is one of three in the Greater Sudbury area.  Together with Valley East Ringette Association and Sudbury Ringette Asssociation we form the Nickel Basin League.  We not only play games and tournaments with each other, we also travel out of town to compete with other Ringette Associations in the province.

And we have a lot of fun too!  We work in the community to promote the sport and watch our children grow up to love being active and healthy.  Our members are committed to promoting a sport which prides itself on good sportsmanship and fair play.  All our players have the opportunity to develop in the different positions.  As the player progresses through the divisions, they will usually find a position that suits them best.  Goalies are always in high demand!

So please join us at our local arenas and take in a fast paced game which is unlike hockey and promotes fast play and quick passes.  Check out our Tumblr Blog or join us on Facebook.  And if you are interested please contact us here on our web site.
